On 5 September 2025, around 800 people, including FFF activists, gathered in Borkum (Niedersachsen) to protest against planned gas drilling in the North Sea by the Dutch company One-Dyas. Demonstrators denounced the project as unnecessary, dirty, and harmful to the climate, stressing that no new fossil fuel projects should be approved amid the escalating climate crisis. The action formed part of a broader mobilization on the island, which also included a climate camp launched the previous day (coded as a separate event).
